Sign on to tell Lawmakers it's time Expand Medicaid
The American Rescue Plan included incentives for the remaining 14 states that have not expanded Medicaid to expand access to affordable health care to millions of Americans, creating over 1 million jobs, and adding more than $350 million to their state economies over the next 3 years. Unfortunately, 12 states still refuse to do so.
Voters in Missouri & Oklahoma overwhelmingly told their states to implement Medicaid Expansion. They provided a blueprint for voters in South Dakota, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Kansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Wyoming, South Carolina, Wisconsin, Tennessee, & Texas to follow.
Meanwhile in Congress, Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) has introduced a new amendment to the American Jobs Plan (the infrastructure bill) would allow Congress to extend coverage to Americans in those 12 states by creating a special access on the ACA Exchanges. This would allow residents in those states to access much needed low-cost health care coverage.
